ASEAN design students, time to share your strongest design ideas! Indonesia’s Platinum Architectural Design Competition (PADC) returns this 2025 with new challenges! The competition is a collaboration between PT Platinum Ceramics and Anakata Series, aiming to be a platform for aspiring designers who are still in college to showcase their work.
Launched in 2022 and followed by a second iteration in 2023, PADC will now transition from an annual competition in Indonesia to an international biennial competition. The launch of PADC 2025 was successfully held on June 25 at the Platinum Ceramics Showroom in Central Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, with a live broadcast via Zoom and YouTube.

“This year’s theme, Redefine the Space, challenges participants to reinterpret retail space as a commercial area that supports business objectives through creative and innovative design approaches.”
Entries will be directly assessed by two special judges, M.L. Varudh Varavarn from Vin Varavarn Architects, Thailand, and Eko Priharseno from AEDI Design Bureau, Indonesia. PADC 2025 will also feature a series of online roadshows, in-person events in several cities, and campus visits, providing prospective participants with the opportunity to discuss the competition directly with Platinum Ceramics and the PADC team.
