The 50th edition of the United Architects of the Philippines’ National Convention is happening in April! With the theme “Borderless,” the six-day celebration hopes to inspire architects to embrace technology, engage in international partnerships and projects, and adapt to the world as it changes.

Happening from April 7 to 12, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center, this year’s convention will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions with local and international names in the architecture industry. Included in this edition’s roster are Ma Yansong of MAD Architects, Andra Matin of andramatin, Kevin Hui of Archimarathon, and more!

Keynote speeches and panel discussions will happen daily, with the floor open to questions about innovation, adaptability, and global connection. The event will also host awarding ceremonies and oath takings of new UAP members.

“Architecture goes beyond form and aesthetics. It is about staying relevant and finding solutions to today’s challenges. With this event, we want to inspire architects to be innovative, adaptable, and globally connected,” UAP said. “It is time to challenge the norm and break down barriers.”

Topics of the speeches and discussions include the impact of architecture on nation-building, modern approaches in design and construction, collaboration in design, and the business of architecture. The convention will also hold architectural tours at landmarks such as Binondo, Taal, Batangas, Bonifacio Global City, and more.

Guests will also have the opportunity to network with the speakers and attendees and have access to social activities such as a retro night and music festival.
